Please sign up by Tuesday September 21st.
If the COVID-19 positivity rate for the Chesterfield Health District is above 10%, we will not have the full lunch. We will keep the meetings short (less than 55 minutes), so people can leave in time to have lunch at home.

If the positivity rate is below 10%, we will have the lunch.

The metric we will use is the 7 day rolling average on the Virginia Department of Health Testing Positivity Dashboard's found here.

An email will be sent out ahead of time.

Video explaining the Connection Sunday Meeting/ Lunch!
On September 26th, after Worship, at 11 a.m. there will be "Connection Sunday" lunch in four small groups (the three [3] established classes, and a fourth group exploring new opportunities in the Worship Center).

The purpose of this "Connection Sunday" after Worship is:

1) To allow ESTABLISHED Adult Bible Study classes to connect and plan ahead of their first official week of Sunday School.

2) To allow those NOT-yet-connected to discuss new opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, and connecting together to grow in God's grace. There are many, of different demographics and age groups, who may not feel like there is a place for them to connect.

After discussions, and much prayer, I believe the best way forward to is to spend some time together, pray, enjoy a meal, and listen to what everyone is thinking and discerning about the Lord's leading. Families, including children, are welcome to this lunch.

Sunday School Information
On October 3rd at 9 a.m. Adult Sunday School Classes will begin meeting.
There will be 3 Classes.
  1. Adults (Men & Women) Class
  2. Men's Class
  3. Women's Class
NOTE: For Women's Ministry Class
The Women’s Bible Study group is considering two video Bible studies for this fall.

I. The first one is “Elijah” by Pricilla Shriver:

In this 7-session video bible study on the life of Elijah.  In this faith-building study, you’ll discover how Elijah’s obedience to God kept him anchored, sharpened his faith, broadened his impact, and invited heaven’s fire to fall.  God is also working in your life today to fashion a fiery, bold faith that will empower you to share the hope of Christ with your family, friends, co-workers, and community.

II. The second one is “Take Courage” by Jennifer Rothschild.

In this 7-session study on the Book of Haggai, learn to walk confidently in your calling, stay motivated despite opposition, and courageously invest your life in God's purposes, trusting Him for results you may never see in this lifetime.

We welcome anyone who would like to join us. We would suggest you research these bible studies so you can help us make the choice for our first session. On September 26, the group will meet to decide on which book we will study.

Below, we have a link to a conversation here between a Baptist Pastor and a medical doctor and Christian on new developments with the Delta variant.
