Mount Hermon Baptist Church Staff
Lee Ellison
Pastor
|
Lee Ellison grew up in Richmond and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth
University, where he received a bachelor degree in Business
Administration & Management, and the Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary, where he received the Master of Divinity degree.
He has been in pastoral ministry since 1978 and served churches in
Danville, Pearisburg and Richmond before becoming pastor of Mount
Hermon on September 1, 2004. For two years, Lee was Circulation
& Development Director of the Religious Herald, the state newspaper
of Virginia Baptists.
Lee and his wife Debbie have three grown children and two grandchildren.

Susan Prather
Minister to Youth & Children
|
Susan Prather joined the MHBC staff as Minister to Youth & Children in August, 2006.
She is a longtime member of Mount Hermon and has
taught sixth through eighth grade Sunday school since September 2000. She has also been a Summer Youth
Camp Chaperone each year since 2001 and was ordained as a deacon in January,
2003. Susan is actively supportive of every dimension of the life and ministry
of MHBC. -- We are excited about her providing leadership to these
important ministries of our church!

Peiling Zhao Music Minister |
Peiling Zhao was
born in China. While studying at the Nanjing Normal University, she
accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, becoming a Christian. She
graduated from the university in 1982 with BA degree in music.
In 1984,
she married Enguang Zhao; their son Sam was born in 1986. Peiling
taught vocal music at her alma mater before coming to the United States
in 1987 to join her husband, who was a graduate student at that time.
The Zhao family belonged to the Chinese Baptist Church, Richmond for
more than ten years, and Peiling was the church’s choir director.
In May 1998, Peiling joined Mount Hermon Baptist Church as Minister of
Music. Peiling loves our Lord deeply, and hopes to grow in spirit and
to continue serving Him faithfully.
