Fix the Space Within

From the Pastor…     Fix the Space Within

The space within becomes the reality of the building. — Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright was a famous American architect who conceptually understood the true nature of a structure.  Wright claimed that the “space within” comprised the essence of a building.

Jesus says that the “space within” a human defines what he or she is and determines how that person acts.  So, he talked a lot about the heart, knowing that hate and contempt there produce evil, sin, and harmful words and actions.  Get your heart right and you’ll get your actions right.  He did His best to fill our minds and hearts with God’s thoughts and values.  Without those values humans are left with only their evil desires and selfish thoughts.

“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.” Jesus: Matthew 12:35

When we engage in Bible study, worship, prayer, and interaction with believers, we are filling our own space within with goodness, truth, and an accurate understanding of God’s will… the way God wants things to be.  Even rest and relaxation are forming the space within. – Are you and I paying attention to that space today?

                 God’s best to you today,
