Make the Most of It

From the Pastor…        Make the Most of It

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. — Malcolm X

Someone said that it would be nice if we could be 40 years old first and then go back and be a kid.  Yes, how nice it would be to have a better perspective as to what is important and how best to use one’s resources and time!

If I were tossed back to my school days, I would make much better use of the opportunity to learn, read, and grow.  Oh, I didn’t do badly in school, but I sure wasted a lot of time which could have been better spent learning.  I don’t think I developed good study habits until I was seminary.

If you had a do-over in life, what would that look like for you?

Ah, but we don’t usually get such chances, so the best we can do is to make the most of what is available now.  Which I suspect is a LOT!  Books, periodicals, magazines, journals, a library, videos, internet resources by the score.  And then there are people to talk to and learn from.  New ideas and processes one can learn. – Age doesn’t matter in any of this.  We can all make the most of the blessings at hand.

                          God’s best to you,

teachings of the Bible. No life is complete without it.
